Monkey in chestnut
ANTIQUE JAPANESE NETSUKE
A superb ivory study of a monkey emerging from a chestnut, two large leaves on the outside. This netsuke model originally in wood by Toyomasa of Tamba appears to have been replicated by other carvers in wood. This is a very rare example in ivory.
