Shoki & Oni
ANTIQUE JAPANESE NETSUKE
A superbly carved boxwood netsuke of Shoki and Oni.
Shoki standing left leg bent, foot resting on a rock.
His trusty sword held in the right hand.
A surprised look on his face his eyes cast upwards as he realises the Oni he was chasing is in fact hiding on top of his large hat.
Formerly the property of a Japanese collector.
