ANTIQUE JAPANESE NETSUKE

An excellent antique boxwood netsuke of a man holding a monkey.

A figure dressed in robes with a mugwort cape, hair tied in a bun, right hand raised let hand holding a monkey.
The figure may possibly be either a sennin holding a monkey, or, a sarumawashi (monkey trainer)


Formerly the property of a Japanese collector.
