ANTIQUE JAPANESE NETSUKE

A superbly carved boxwood netsuke of the Chinese general Kan u.
His left hand stroking his beard while holding his halberd, known as "Blue Dragon" in his right.
His robe decorated with cloud patterns.
A hip guard on his back decorated with fish scale design.
Wearing an official cap, the scarf of which reaches his shoulders.

Formerly the property of a Japanese collector.
