Japanese Copper Bronze 1950's
A magnificent large heavy impressive copper bronze model of the Takarbune ( Treasure Ship) .
The sail with the Japanese character Takara (Treasure), clouds on either side.
Mount Fuji, , Pine, Bamboo, Plum blossom - Sho Chiku Bai, known as the Three Friends of Winter.
Dancing together at the stern of the sailing ship two of the Seven Lucky Gods, Ebisu carrying a big Tai fish, Daikoku holding his mallet.
The gods carrying in the treasure ship with them: takaramono (宝物), or treasure things, including the hat of invisibility (隠れ笠, kakuregasa),.
Rolls of brocade (織物, orimono), the inexhaustible purse (金袋 kanebukuro), the secret keys to the treasure shed of the gods (鍵 kagi).
The scrolls of books of wisdom and life (巻き物 makimono), the magic mallet (小槌 kozuchi).
The lucky raincoat (隠れ蓑, kakuremino), the robe of fairy feathers (羽衣, hagoromo), and the bag of fortune (布袋 nunobukuro).
The takarabune having a dragon head prow, three auspicious aspects in panels on either side, waves flowing underneath.
An outstanding example of the Takarabune .
