Magnificent large, heavy casting of Boys and a Bull

A superb copper bronze model of impressive proportions cast using the lost wax process.

A portrayal of two young brothers in the late 1800's, taking the family bull to the fields, the baskets to carry back the vegetables.
A young bare foot farm boy dressed in short kimono, carrying on his back a large woven cane basket.
His left hand holding the handle of a mattock that rests on his shoulder.
His right hand holding the lead of the large majestic bull walking beside him.
The little brother wearing a short kimono sitting cross legged on a rush mat on the back of the bull.
Left arm casually resting on a cane basket, whilst reading a lesson book held in his right hand.
Superb detailed expressive casting. An outstanding rare Masterpiece.
