HEXAGONAL BOX RED CINNABAR LACQUER

The actual colour of the box is a very attractive darkish red wine colour appears lighter in the images.

A red / cinnabar lacquer hexagonal shaped box with detailed carving. Vintage 1960's.
The cover carved with a mountain water scene . In the foreground trees, shrubs and rockery, set against a wave background depicting the river. In the middle distance an ornate pavilion to the left, villagers houses on the right. In the distance a range of rolling mountains. The sides with scrolling tendrils and stylised Indian lotus flower.
