VINTAGE JAPANESE DRAGON & TIGER ROSEWOOD CARVING

An outstanding impressive large study of a ferocious three clawed Japanese dragon and tiger.
The heavily whiskered dragon surrounded by clouds exhaling long flames from its mouth, on the end of which, is the immortal pearl.
The tiger mouth agape uttering as roar as it confronts the dragon, while placing a paw on the immortal pearl, in their never ending battle for control.
A superb detailed carving.

Carved from one of the species of Rosewood 红木, with excellent colouring, ranging from a light golden tan to dark reddish brown.
