An unusual brushpot that portrays the animals of the 12 cyclical years .
A horse with a monkey riding on it, mountains behind.
Under the spreading branch of a pine tree, cow, goat, rabbit, the cockerel standing on the rock, a rat peeping out underneath.
A dragon in clouds at the rim, below a pig, a dog.
A snake slithering across the rocks, a tiger in its lair.
Calligraphy and seal mark .

Formerly the property of a Japanese collector - acquired over 40 years ago.
