HUNTING IN THE MOUNTAINS BAMBOO BRUSHPOT
QING PERIOD 1644 to 1911

A continuous landscape hunting scene, two riders with hunting dogs chasing a stag. Another two riders one turned in the saddle just released his bow, the other rider higher on the escarpment his horse head turned as he looks back.
All set against a background of a rocky mountain landscape, superbly carved in high relief, Calligraphy and seal marks.

Formerly the property of a Japanese collector - acquired over 40 years ago.
