The colour of this brushpot is actually : " LIGHT & DARK TAN " it appears much lighter in the images.
A tactile well carved cylindrical brush pot standing on three feet the colour of light and dark tan.
Carved around with a continuous scene portraying 8 horses cantering and resting across a grassy steppe, in a slow flowing stream, hills in the background.
Three lines of calligraphy.

Formerly the property of a Japanese collector - acquired over 40 years ago.
