BATS GOURDS AN AUSPICIOUS BAMBOO BRUSHPOT
QING PERIOD 1644 to 1911

The colour of this brushpot is actually : " DARK HONEY BROWN TAN " it appears lighter in the images.

A well carved cylindrical brush pot standing on three feet .
Carved around with a continuous scene portraying Five Bats interspersed between trailing leafy vine, blossoms and plump hanging gourds.
The base incised with five characters.

Formerly the property of a Japanese collector - acquired over 40 years ago..
